Good to Know:

  • Getting Started

I offer a 15 minute free introduction session over the phone to answer any initial questions and to assess how your needs match with my areas of expertise and style. If you decide that we would be a good therapeutic fit, we can begin scheduling appointments which will begin with an intake session.

The therapeutic relationship is the foundation from which to do the meaningful work involved in therapy. If it doesn’t feel like a good fit between us, that’s ok! I encourage you to find your person. I am committed to staying within my areas of professional competence and will refer you to an alternate provider if I believe that your needs would be better addressed elsewhere.

  • Fee

The rate for a 50-minute session is $200. Credit, debit, and HSA cards are accepted through the client portal. Your card of choice is kept on file in the client portal and will be automatically charged the day of the scheduled appointment. If you prefer a different form of payment (ex- cash or venmo billing) please let me know. I do offer a few reduced fee appointment slots on a limited basis.

Please inquire about rates and fees for other services including but not limited to workshops, training, meeting attendance, case management.

  • Cancellation Policy

Sessions are reserved especially for you. Once you’re on the schedule, that appointment is your designated time and financial responsibility. If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so in the client portal or by emailing shannon.noe.lpc@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment to reschedule within that week if possible. Sessions will be billed for the full amount if not rescheduled 24 hours in advance.

Clients are not charged for sessions that are cancelled by me.

  • Sessions

In-person sessions are available Monday through Friday from 8:00-2:00 in my Crozet office located at 5974 Jarmans Gap Rd. Crozet, VA 22932 (office located in the back of the building on the lower level).

Teletherapy sessions are provided through a secure online platform to clients in the State of Virginia.

Therapy sessions are offered on a limited basis in-home within the Charlottesville & Crozet area one month prior to a baby’s due date and one month after the delivery of a new baby as requested.

All sessions are 50 minutes in length and are scheduled based on your individuals needs.

  • Insurance

I do not accept insurance at this time.

Your insurance may provide some reimbursement if you would like to work with them directly. To help, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may choose to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

The rate of reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan. I encourage you to contact your insurance company to see if this is a good option for you prior to scheduling.

  • Crisis / Emergency / Closings

If you experience a crisis outside of your session time, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for evaluation and support. I am not available after work hours to respond to emergencies.

The 24 hours ReadyKids Teen Hotline is also a helpful resource for youth in crisis. That number is 434-972-7233 and accepts both calls and texts from youth and their parents/caregivers.

The office generally follows the Albemarle County Public School schedule and will be closed on snow days and school holidays unless otherwise indicated.
